Jóvenes Talento

Developing Future Leaders

(Classes: Saturday, 6 hours,  30 weeks)

The Academia Sabatina Jovenes Talento is a pioneering educational program in Nicaragua and El Salvador, created to raise the quality of teaching in Mathematics and Science. Its mission is to identify young people with high academic potential and provide them with the resources, guidance, and opportunities needed to excel in areas such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Genetics, and Biology.

Since its first day of class in May 2005, with just 45 students, the Academy has grown steadily. By the end of 2024, a total of 2,424 students will have completed their training, many achieving multiple academic levels and some standing out as international Olympians.

The program offers outstanding students access to high-quality materials, classes taught at universities, and an environment that fosters discipline, scientific curiosity, and collaboration.

Thanks to this preparation, the most exceptional students have had the opportunity to represent their countries in Mathematics and Science Olympiads, at national, Central American, Ibero-American, and international levels.

Honorable Mention

Nicaragua was recognized as the country with the best relative performance in 2012 and 2021 winning the Copa El Salvador  in the Central America and Caribbean Mathematical Olympics.

Nicaragua earned 2nd place out of the 11 countries participating in the Central American and Caribbean Mathematical Olympics in 2021.  This same year, our Olympiads earned two gold medals, more than any other participating country.

In 2012, Adonis Gómez Velásquez participated and won the first gold medal for Nicaragua in the Central American and the Caribbean Mathematical Olympics (OMCC) held in El Salvador. In 2021,  Isaac Rodriguez Gutierrez y Jose Gabriel Rivas both earned our country’s 2nd and 3rd gold medals.

It is worth mentioning that in 2013 Nicaragua was selected to host the Central American and Caribbean Mathematical Olympics  (OMCC) of which Fundación  Uno was part of the organizing committee in conjunction with the MINED and the UNI.
