Chispa

I learn, I practice, I apply!

Chispa (which means Spark in Spanish), initially called Khan Academy Project started as a pilot project in 2012. Our initiative was to promote the improvement of learning and teaching of mathematics using technology and multimedia. It is composed of three core elements:

  • Technological Resources: TVs, DVDs with over 500 math content videos organized by grade level  (1st-6th)
  • Teacher trainings and teacher manual with over 100 dynamic and interactive teaching strategies.
  • Continuous evaluation of teachers and students.

We believe that this holistic approach contributes to create a more dynamic and motivating environment for learning math and replaces the traditional teaching methodologies and paradigms.
