Soy Uno recognizes, rewards, and encourages those students, teachers, and schools who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. Prizes are given to the 13 best students and 2 teachers from each school. Setting high standards and demanding excellence of oneself is the pro-active attitude we seek to foster in the public school sector.
The program is a joint effort with the Ministries of Education in Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala.
In Nicaragua Fundación Uno provides a university scholarship to the best high school student at the national level and/or from our program Jóvenes Talento.
In El Salvador and Nicaragua Fundación Uno supports the most gifted students from our Jóvenes Talento program to be able to compete in the Central American and Ibero-American Mathematics Olympics.
*In Guatemala Fundación Uno is one of the donors of the program “Empresarios por la Educación” which recognizes the 10 best teachers in the country every year.
