The reforestation of Nicaragua and environmental awareness among the nation’s youth are key objectives of the conservation of our environment aspects of Fundación Uno. The reforestation project began in the department of Rivas, where we have been creating the first scenic highway in the country.
The combination of foliage and ornamental trees planted fulfill the dual purpose of first creating an attractive eco-tourism environment along the main highways in Nicaragua and developing a forest that provides shade and food for cattle.
Additionally, the reforestation endeavor is to collaborate with a government-run project to grow one million plants in Rivas.
