Espacios Para Crecer

Learning Comes First

From 2008 to 2011, through a joint program with CARE in Nicaragua, Fundación Uno was able to remove over 500 child laborers from the workplace. These children are provided with after school programs and recreational activities for learning and promoting personal growth instead of working.

Since 2012, Fundación Uno took over the program now known as Espacios Para Crecer. The program has expanded to other municipalities of the department of Rivas, including Belén, Potosí and Buenos Aires. This year, (2020) Espacios Para Crecer will serve  approximately 330 students in 11 schools.
