Portal de Matemática

Studying Math

“Mathematics is indispensable for any career pursued by any student.”

Dr. Ernesto Fernández Holmann, President Board of Directors, Fundación Uno

According to reports from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua (UNAN) and Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI)  an approximate 6-7% of the students that take the mathematic entrance exam, pass the test (2014).  Fundación Uno’s Portal de Matemática aims to train young students in the different branches of mathematics. Students take classes 4 hours a week, for 9 months in preparation for university entrance exam. We provide students with educational material, support, as well as the opportunity to interact with other students. After all these years, we are aware that this program reaffirms knowledge in Mathematics for student’s university career and subsequently successful work activity.
